About Us

I started Peace of Mind Paws Pet and Home Sitting because, first and foremost, I love pets of all shapes and sizes. Second, I wanted to give pets and their owners an affordable alternative to a kennel where they can be locked in a cage or surrounded by unfamiliar pets or even a daycare where you must abide by certain time restrictions, which can be stressful. Third, I wanted to introduce a pet and home sitting service that was professional, caring and trusting above all else!

I am a huge animal lover and I have been around many different kinds of animals my entire life. I have a variety of pet care experience which includes everything from dogs, cats, birds to mice, rabbits, and lizards. I also have experience looking after horses and working with white-tailed deer on a farm just outside of Saskatoon! It is truly a dream come true for me to be able to offer a pet and home sitting service to Regina’s pet community and to see the joy it brings to our clients every day!

 I have pets of my own and I cherish the joy they bring to me every day! As a pet owner myself, I really do understand that the love for your pet can go a long way. I also know that everyday life can get really busy at times and you deserve the peace of mind knowing that you and your furry family members are well taken care of no matter what life happens to throw at you!

 I take tremendous pride in our customer/pet satisfaction. I will do everything I can to ensure you are 100% satisfied with the service and all of your pet and home care needs are fully met!

I am an animal person and have been for as long as I can remember! Continuous learning is something I highly value. One of my passions is understanding and caring for all different kinds of animals.

The joy that a pet, or pets bring into a home is invaluable. I absolutely adore my dog and 3 cats! The amount of photos I take of them is a little silly. I'm that cat and dog Mom.

 I love working at Peace of Mind Paws because I meet so many fur-babies. Helping people in the community and their companions makes this job so rewarding. I will treat all the pets in my care as if they were my own and will respond to their needs and requirements with my full attention.

“From Doctor to Dog Walker/Pet Sitter”, would be a fitting title of my bio. Although ready to retire from the practice of family medicine after 33 years, I felt too young to leave all forms of work, especially as caregiving and service are deeply ingrained in me.

Jesse hiring me to work in his pet-centred business seemed to be the ideal match I was searching for. As an animal lover, I am currently blessed to still have a 14 year old border-collie rescue dog and two senior cats at home. My orange tabby, Sheldon, has had diabetes for the past couple of years so I have the added skill of administering Insulin needles to him twice daily, helping him continue to live well.

 Besides Jesse’s care and dedication for his pet clients, he is also supportive and encouraging of his employees. While allowing me to transfer my caregiving skills from people to animals, this job has provided a number of other personal benefits. The pets cared for very much provide ‘therapy’ back to us, the care providers. The walking of dogs and activities of pet sitting enhances our physical fitness, along with the other proven positive physical, mental and emotional effects of pets on our overall wellbeing.

I would summarize Jesse’s motto, and of Peace of Mind Paws, guiding me as a Pet Care Provider: “We treat and care for your pets as we would our own”.
