I was actually recommended Jesse with Peace of Mind Paws for his work with dog whispering and putting dogs at ease with aggression and anxiety for my two little rescued problem Chihuahua pups. Jesse definitely speaks their language and understands them on a deep level, he was able to put them at ease the moment he walked through the door. He's worked with them on their wild barking at the door, doorbell anxiety, and I am working to gain my spot as a place of respect where they are listening to me more often and not ignoring me. It's crazy to see the progress in only the 3 sessions we have had and looking forward to the leash training next. My husband and I highly recommend him for anyone at their wits end working through major behavioral ticks or rescue mentality like we were. It totally changes your perspective!

We live out in the country, over a 10-minute drive from the city of Regina. We have five cats and 3 birds. In the past, we used to leave the cats for a week to most two weeks. But this time we would be away for a month plus our place is listed for sale. Meaning potential showings. We didn't want one of the cats to get locked out or stuck in the basement or in a room. Two of the cat's sisters were turning 21 years old . Also the birds we just require the budgies that spring and didn't want to leave them for an extended amount of time.
After checking all the house sitters and interviews. We felt confident with Jesse. His total friendly and professional attitude. Along with his well-organized detail forms and detail Pet questionnaire forms.
We were away for about a month. Jesse checked the house on a regular basis ensuring that the house was OK and our pets were doing well. He also ensured that snow removal was done. We came back to our home with happy well looked after pets. He even looked after getting rid of cat litter for our five cats.
I recommend his business to everyone!

I've had Jesse look after my cat and ferret twice now, each time for a week and he's great. I cannot praise enough the level of service he provides. He will tailor his service to meet yours and your pets' needs. Despite how difficult (bitey?) ferrets can be, he didn't shy away from looking after mine (who for the record isn't actually bitey but Jesse had no way of knowing that beforehand). Not only will he make sure your pets are well taken after, but he cleaned up a kitchen sink water issue we had when we were away and shut off the water to that tap.
You can rest assured your pets (and house!) are in good hands while you are away.
Probably the best testimony of all is from my cat, who despite only knowing him for a week the year prior, recognized and greeted Jesse during the pre-trip meeting. My cat doesn't even greet my parents like that!

An absolutely excellent and trustworthy business. My spouse and I have a pup with a complicated past who has always been very, very wary of men, so we were nervous about hiring Peace of Mind Paws' owner Jesse to watch her while I was out of town. But when we told Jesse about her fear and other quirks, he offered to come to our house and spend some quality time with her. Watching him interact with her using calm and comforting body language was incredible, and our pup warmed right up to him. Definitely recommended for any other owners who have a quirky or nervous dog, or who are just concerned about whether their dog will be comfortable with a new person in the house.

I was an early, though not first, client for Peace of Mind Paws, and was honestly skeptical to start as my furry best friend Mocha is exactly that. However, I was impressed that Jesse truly had his stuff together in terms of insurance and licenses and proof of compentancy and the like. This helped belay some of the initial concerns. Since then I haven’t had reason to look back on those apprehensions AT ALL. I have even had the recent opportunity to have Mocha taken care of over the weekend while I had to be away. Well, it was pretty telling of her experience when she wanted to go back with Jesse as much as she wanted to stay with me when I got back!
Not one to easily recommend, I have no hesitation in saying that if you should choose to have your furry companion in care of “Peace of Mind Paws” you will not be disappointed!

Having a dog with anxiety, kenneling is simply not an option for us while we go on vacation, so we decided to explore other options. We contacted Peace of Mind Paws through their website. They were very quick to respond and set a meet and greet up with our Boxers. I knew immediately, during the meet and greet that Peace of Mind Paws was the right pet sitting option for us. While we were away I felt completely relaxed knowing our Boxers and our home were in very capable hands.
